The AmeriPlan ® Scam
Many people have not heard of AmeriPlan ®, and when they do, it's natural to look for more information about the company. We have been in business for over 15 years with a proven track record of success. We have hundreds of thousands of providers across the nation and about 2 million members. AmeriPlan ® is not a scam.
Every company with such a large customer base gets complaints. AmeriPlan ® does everything it can to take care of its members, but the internet is an easy place to vent your anger. In an attempt to present both sides and be open with our record, I have compiled the 3 most common complaints:
Can't Find A Provider - This is the majority of our complaints; however it can be avoided by looking before you sign up. --->
Locate a Provider
Canceling - This is done through sending an email to Ameriplan ® and takes place 30 days later, so your account will be charged one more time. This is how it's done throughout the healthcare industry and we are no different. We try to clearly post this policy to prevent people from taking advantage of our system, but many people don't read it.
Doctors Don't Recognize AmeriPlan ® - When our health program was launched, we contracted with a provider list called Beech Street. Those doctors only recognize Beech Street, so the policy was made with the health program that AmeriPlan ® would contact the doctor before our members went to see them. This problem has been solved, but the complaints are still out there on the internet.
I hope this information will help make your decision easier. If you have any further questions about the
